adidas Golf Introduces FASHION PERFORMANCE Apparel & Footwear Line

Fashionable Looks with Bright Colours and Bold Patterns for Modern Style on the
Golf Course

–adidas Golf is launching an entirely new apparel line aimed at expressing
individual style called FASHION PERFORMANCE, which will be worn on Tour by
Jason Day.
For
the first time, adidas Golf has created a line meant to transition off the
course as lifestyle-wear, featuring bold colours and unique
patterns and combining Tour proven performance technologies with
contemporary, fashionable styling. Vibrant colour combinations make for a
dynamic, confident look with each piece offering a tailored, comfortable fit
without sacrificing performance.

adidas Golf because it allows golfers to benefit from performance while
staying true to their personality on the course,” said Tiss Dahan, Sr. Director

This
apparel line features a new modernised logo. Introduced in 1999, the adidas
Golf logo represents performance, athleticism and an attitude that welcomes
challenges on the golf course. The new FASHION PERFORMANCE
identification mark, characterised by the adidas name linked with the flag
brand mark, symbolises the stylish, contemporary and Tour proven performance of
this exciting new apparel line.
The line debuts in a variety of
uniquely-detailed designs for men, and includes colour blocked polos, fashion
bottoms, training tops and stylish sweaters made to match and amplify personal
style. FASHION PERFORMANCE apparel will be available 1 March, 2012, with
an RRP ranging from £29.99 - £54.99, 45€ - 80€, 450SEK - 800SEK,
400NOK - 750NOK, 380DKK - 700DKK and 90CHF - 145CHF for various
pieces in the collection.
Matching this new line, adidas Golf is also
launching two new footwear models - adicross and Samba Golf footwear.
adicross
Footwear
adicross is a spikless new model debuted by
TaylorMade-adidas Golf Tour staff professional Justin Rose en-route to winning
the BMW Championship last year.
adicross
combines iconic adidas styling with full-grain leather for a rich look and
feel. The upper is both lightweight and durable, while the soft, spikeless
outsole provides traction, comfort and off-course versatility. This golf
shoe is designed to allow the foot more natural flexion and torsion while
cushioning every step. The spikeless outsole delivers superior traction with
124 strategically placed traction lugs of varying size for a secure grip in all
playing conditions, with textured synthetic toe-cap that’s very durable and
improved abrasion-resistance.
adicross
will be available available 1 February, 2012 for both men and women.
The men's line is available in seven colourways —
White/White/Black, White/Red/Red, White/Orange/Orange, White/Lime/Lime,
White/Royal/Royal, Black/White/Dark Metallic Silver & Cognac Brown/Tour
White/Gum.
The women's adicross is available in six
colourways - White/Pink/Purple, White/Turquoise/Lime, White/Light Blue/Royal,
White/White/Black, Black/White/Red and Cream/Cream/Cognac Brown.
adicross has an RRP of £59.99, 90€, 800SEK,
750NOK, 700DKK and 122CHF.
Samba
Golf Footwear
adidas’ iconic Samba is one of the most popular
and recognisable shoes, with more than 35 million pairs sold worldwide. Now,
for the first time, golfers can showcase this footwear on the golf course with
the introduction of the Samba Golf shoe.
Introduced
in 1950, the original Samba was created to enable football players to train on
hard, icy ground and quickly evolved to become a dominant indoor football
shoe. Over time, Samba’s combination of classic styling and comfortable fit
fueled its transcendence into a modern-day essential worn everywhere from
athletic fields and city streets to the suburbs.
“Samba has been widely loved around the world
for decades,” said Bill Price, Vice President of adidas Golf Footwear. “It’s
time to bring its timeless styling to the golf course.”
Samba Golf maintains the shoe’s classic
silhouette and 3-Stripes design, and features a durable, suede toe-guard and
the distinctive tan gumsole equipped with six cleats and THiNTechTM low-profile
technology for improved traction, stability and support. The textile,
synthetic-leather upper is water-resistant and provides lightweight, durable
performance.
The footwear is offered in four colourways:
Black/White/Gum, White/Black/Gum, White/Red/Gum &
White/Navy/Gum available at retail on 1 February, 2012. The Samba
Golf shoe has an RRP of £74.99, 100€, 1.000SEK, 900NOK, 800DKK and
135CHF.
