Esther Henseleit posted a final round 2-under 70 to come from behind and retain her Magical Kenya Ladies Open title. Esther, who chose Team TaylorMade just over two weeks ago, joined Nicolai Hojgaard as the second Team TaylorMade athlete to win with Stealth on a major worldwide tour.

After winning her first LET title at the age of 20 in Kenya, Esther had to wait three years to be able to defend it as the 2020 and 2021 editions of the tournament were postponed due to the COVID-19.
Starting Sunday’s final round at even par, she made four birdies on her outward nine to propel herself into the mix before closing with two clutch putts with her Spider GT putter at the 17th and 18th, for a closing round of 70 and a one-shot victory.

“I played pretty good and holed some good long putts and I kept it together. In the end, it was a bit of a struggle, but I made it and I’m pretty proud of my last few holes.” - Esther Henseleit
Despite her Stealth Carbonwood being broken in transit, Esther was able to succeed with her backup driver paired with her TP5 golf ball to secure six birdies and an eagle on the weekend. Through diligent work on course during Esther’s fitting in Dubai, Team TaylorMade tour reps were able to get the right clubs in her bag ahead of her 2022 campaign.
“Esther is extremely consistent and easy to work with and tested very well across all products when we met up with her in Dubai in January. She does most of her testing on the golf course, similar to a number of our Team TaylorMade athletes, as she doesn’t feel an enormous difference between individual clubs when on the range. We landed on a Stealth driver that launched higher with more optimal spin than her prior gamer and we’re delighted to see her have such instant success.” - Mark Thistleton, TaylorMade Tour Representative
When Esther needed it most on Sunday, her trusty Milled Grind 3 wedges helped complete back-to-back up and downs on 17 and 18 to secure the victory.
“I really like the wedges, they spin a lot with a slightly lower trajectory and I think that I control them really well and also with distance control and pitching, I think that they’re really consistent and easy to get your right number.” - Esther Henseleit (at pre-season testing in Dubai)
