On International Women’s Day we’re celebrating the women of Team TaylorMade who make it possible for our brand to deliver the best performing equipment to golfers across the world.
As an HR Manager for TaylorMade in the UK, my role is really varied and exciting. I support the business with attracting the best talent to build the best team, training and development opportunities, diversity & inclusion, wellbeing initiatives, corporate social responsibility, and personnel management. I get to work with all different parts of the business and no two days are the same. I love being a part of #TeamTaylorMade
Building strong relationships with our retail partners to promote our brand both in-store and digitally across the UK and Europe is an integral part of my role. Whether it is creating marketing activations and digital campaigns to help our retailers increase consumer engagement and drive sales, creating custom graphics to enhance our brand presence in store or organising large retail launch events, my role is extremely exciting, and I love the variety it brings with it. I’m also fortunate to have a fantastic team and colleagues to work with, I am honoured to be part of Team TaylorMade.
As a workshop assembler, my responsibility is to understand and correctly follow the procedure that each order requires, from cutting to quality check. Every day in the workshop is a new challenge and it varies as we face different types of orders and we can carry out different procedures working under a high standard of precision. My role is very important as I make products custom fit and it’s great!
I think TaylorMade is just a really special brand. If you look at Team TaylorMade, so many of the world’s best players choose to be part of it and I’m really excited and proud to be part of it. I think it’s great how the technology develops and all the new ideas and innovations they bring out every year and I think that’s really cool to be a part of such a driven company.
It’s a fantastic opportunity to meet other female golfers who have the same passion for golf as me. In Ireland we have a limited number of Female PGA Professionals so it’s great to connect with new faces and people. Being able to share our opinions with TaylorMade is a huge honour and seeing Kalea Premier being released to the market is a proud moment for all of us. I feel like it’s a big responsibility being part of the board as we’re all wanting to grow the game and make it accessible for all women and young girls.
I love to play golf, and when I hit long shots, it’s a great feeling. I try to improve my game every day and it’s that drive to get better makes me love the game even more. Being able to watch other golfers is motivating for me as I can learn a lot from them. Tiger Woods is the best golfer in the world and watching how he plays, I try to learn as much as I can.
It’s inspiring to be a part of a such a talented group of women, all working with different areas of golf striving for coaching and improving women golfers and making their time on the golf course more enjoyable. The Women's Advisory Board is a direct connection between golfers and the brand which is great.
